BCAS is a legal and regulatory consultancy firm set up in 2017. We service an international portfolio of clients operating within the crypto and blockchain industry. Our service offering spans multiple jurisdictions such as Liechtenstein, Switzerland, Malta and Singapore, and consists of various service lines such as regulatory advisory and compliance, technical advisory, assistance with licence applications, token analysis and checks, and corporate structuring.

We are looking for driven and ambitious trainee lawyers interested in developing their knowledge in the financial services and crypto-asset legislation. As a legal intern, you will not only be assisting legal professionals working on regulatory matters falling within the scope of the European Union and Maltese legislative frameworks but will also have the opportunity to touch upon regulatory matters pertaining to other jurisdictions across other continents. The Job

As a Legal Intern, you will be:

• Assisting lawyers with their day-to-day tasks;
• Participating and contributing to internal discussions;
• Conducting research on various legal or regulatory matters;
• Writing blog posts; and
• Drafting and/or reviewing agreements, policies, procedures or any other documents required by BCAS or its clients.

Requirements

• Completed the third year of your studies in the Bachelor of Laws degree;
• Have a keen interest in financial services, crypto-assets, blockchain technologies, and the regulation thereof;
• Knowledge in company law, contract law, European Union law and financial services legislation;
• Any previous work experience in aforementioned areas of law is desirable but not essential;
• Native level of fluency in the English language;
• Able to work in an extremely fast-paced environment and perform well under pressure;
• Eager to learn and self-motivated to learn about the intricacies of crypto-asset legislation;
• A 5-star service mentality, driven by excellence and to do things well first-time round.
